as december dawns upon us, it's time we get down to planning our taitai sleepover! :D

if you're not free own up now, or hold your piece forever.

any last minute "cannot make it"s are denied and you will end up incurring the wrath of the rest of us, unless it is a very valid excuse of course.
invalid excuses include: anything that is not valid, especially if your excuse is "going out with aher-hermmm"! yes but i guess (most of us) being sad case no love life people (with the exclusion of *****) do not have to entertain such issues.

a taitai essay attempt

and the story goes:

cara and justina were bored on this fine hot afternoon so they are going to write essays, just to prove that taitais are not only capable of playing mahjong and cards but also, very linguistically inclined. being capable of writing eloquent essays which would (eventually) help us excel in our favourite subject at school, a.k.a the general paper. so listen up and do not laugh at any of the following if not i will personally sit on you and deflate your legs.

Question 1: How do I (justina) qualify as a taitai?

Contrary to popular belief, taitai-ness does not only originate from the love and passion for mahjong, but also from our dietary habits. High-tea is an important part in the life of everyone because it keeps us in good moods. (a hungry man is an angry man remember?) Hence for me to qualify as a taitai, it would most definitely stem from my dietary habits. and in this case, it goes beyond high tea

FOOD IS GOOD.

it even rhymes! anyone who knows me sufficiently will know that i have an uncanny ability to stomach more than most girls. apart from the high class air conditioned places to dine, my other favourite dining spot would be the $10 seafood buffet restaurants at marina bay. for a mere $10, one can stuff her plate with heaps and mountains of freshly breaded black pepper fish, buttered prawns and many more.
i know its hot and smoky there and very untaitai-ish but yeah its good and all taitais have their soft spots anyway.


Question 2: What are my aspirations for the taitaituan members?

As i have given a sufficiently nonsensical and irrelevant answer to question 1, i shall (try) to make this answer more beefy.

To begin with, we need more gatherings! i think im gradually losing my taitai-ness because of the lack of such. As from today, we shall abide by the following TTRs (Taitai Regulations)

1. When there is shade, always walk in shade even if it means a longer route. cara has been quite successful in doing so, as caught redhanded by toffa today, so we all should learn from her.

2. Wear shimmy glimmy rings while playing mahjong. these look fabulous while we are washing the tiles.

3. Catch our nightly beauty sleep from 10pm-2am. what could be better than natural beauty treatments! okok, something we should all work on..especially..ME :(

4. Paint our nails. I think silver makes a nice taitai-ish yet highclass colour.

5. Carry deo around. currently only xueting does this and the rest of us stink up the place. well..not like deo smells exactly nice.

6. Learn to count 'tai' in mahjong. that will make us taitais who can count tai.

7. Begin to scout for rich old men. As the saying goes, behind every successful man there is a woman. Similarly, behind every successful taitai, there is a rich old man.

8. ZZZ dono dono dono

anyway! a very happy bday goes to xueting, who turned 17 on 13th October 2006. as her taitaituan, we did a pretty good job in making her more taitai-ish..considering what we all got her for her bday! hurhur.
tania baked BROWNIES for her with m&ms on top, forming the words 'happy bdae xueting <3"
and chloe rara and i bought her an array of face masks, moisturizer and lip balm/gloss. haha!

On behalf of the taitaituan, I would like to congratulate justina aka nanaa on being one of the 13 people in the cohort to achieve an A grade for the Economics paper, which owned many of us bad. She has done us very proud. ((: lets go taitais.!

half the nut bowl gone at asean dance

just to report on the more -ahem- feminine side of taitaituan, tania and i went for ASEAN DANCE on saturday night. 29th july. asean dance being the scandalous event (will elaborate more later) it is, obviously wasnt very much our cup of tea, so we dated each other and were the hottest female pair (and probably the ONLY too >.<) there.

living up to our taitai standards, along with xinhui, we gobbled up half a bowl of nuts. being glam we ate nuts one by one of course. not like those guys who grabbed and stuffed random handfuls. muahahaha. mind you, the bowl is rather big..about half the size of your head probably..if you have a large head that is. so yes *burp* indeed we ate quite a lot.

tania being the more experienced taitai turned up for asean dance in a nice black dress (we will try to upload photos soon) and was complete with make up whereas i smartly wore an outfit which my mom commented wasnt suitable, but whatever and went there without a trace of make up. woooh.

yup so tania (as usual) ended up attracting more guys! YI HONG gave her a flower lah! YI HONG if you're reading this, WHERE'S MINE? =( hahahahah

during fast dance we ended up walking out to great world city for dinner and photowhored when we returned.

following that was the scandalous romantic slow dance, which btw should not be classified as dance at all to begin with. slow dance steps consist of
1. swaying from left to right
2. rotating on the same spot.

anyway..we had fun demo-ing to boyle and kritarth how to dance with each other as well, and it freaked them out :D
